Cherno
The name of this wine, from the Bulgarian word “cherno”, meaning black, reflects the wine’s strong connection with its Chernogorovo origins. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavrud; its strong color also recalls its land of origin.
The wine is ruby red in color. The nose is rich and intense with notes of plums, black berries, spices, leather and bitter chocolate together with notes of wood. It is generous and fruity on the palate, with pronounced but delicate tannins and a long, fresh finish. The wine is suitable for long aging, upwards of six years.
